The ongoing conflict between the « real » and its representation finds in photography a domain of predilection ... Exploring the fine line of that frontier, developing a non-verbal language and taking on the commitments inherent to the creative process have always been fundamental to my artistic motivations. Considering myself to be a visual artist in the fullest sense, I prefer to describe my work as that of an image maker rather than that of a photographer. From this point of view, evolving technologies have opened up for me unexplored horizons. Based on photographs having already provided me with the satisfaction of a photographer of the « real », I can reconstruct an imaginary landscape and effectively re-think the spatial situation of the created object. As you may discover in the « historical » portion of the site, this development is intended to be natural and imbued with the fresh sensitivity these montages allow me to express.
